"Belgrade Metro and Train" has started the procedure of creating the Environmental Impact Assessment Study in front of the competent Ministry of Environmental Protection. Line 1 stretches in a southwest-northeast direction, on the right bank of the Sava River, from Železnik to Stari Grad, then in a west-east direction on the south bank of the Danube to Ada Huja, and then in a north-south direction along the bottom of the valley that goes up Mirijevski Boulevard to the end station "Mirijevo". The total length of line 1 is 21.8 km and includes 21 stations. Their construction is planned in two phases:
Phase 1: Železnik - Karaburma and Phase 2: Karaburma - Mirijevo.
The subject of this environmental impact assessment is phase 1 of metro line 1, whose route, stations and shafts are shown in the following figure. The total length of the route planned within phase 1 is 16.7 kilometers and consists of 16 stations.

- Scheduled public discussion/presentation on 05.05.2023. in (SIV 3 – green hall on the seventh floor), ul. Youth Brigade 1, New Belgrade. The study was adopted in September 2023.
