The goal of this project is the implementation of the approach of sustainable development of traffic in the city and the updating of the previous Smartplan from 2009, in order to show the current trends in travel, and in accordance with the conurbation and the long-term vision of development and growth until 2033, which was agreed upon in consultation with municipalities and other different carriers of public and individual interest. The focus of the study will be the preparation and evaluation of scenarios for different types of public transport (metro/tram/trolleybus/commuter train/park-and-ride dedicated parking) as well as the development of short-term, medium-term and long-term strategies that take into account economic, financial, technical, social and environmental aspects.
The traffic master plan in Belgrade - Smartplan from 2017, which was adopted by the Belgrade City Assembly, preliminarily defines the routes of the future two subway lines, as well as 4 lines in the BG:voz system with all associated infrastructure capacities.
