The depot in Makis was designed for lines 1 and 2 of the metro and is an integral part of the project for line 1. With the aim of starting the construction of this line as soon as possible, the project for the depot was separated into a separate phase. The project received the Decision of the Republic Audit Commission, the signing of the contract for the design and construction of the depot with the Chinese company PowerChina is in progress.
