About the study
The main goal of the study was to count and survey passengers for the exact determination of transportation needs and requirements of system users in space and time, and with the aim of obtaining a detailed picture of the coverage of Belgrade by the public urban passenger transportation system.
In order for the public urban passenger transport system to respond to the transport requirements with an optimal offer in terms of capacity, quality of transport service, prices and costs, it was necessary to investigate in detail the characteristics of transport needs and define them in terms of quantity and quality.
The counting/survey provided a high-quality, precise and comprehensive information base that serves as a basis for future steps taken in order to improve and develop the complete system of public urban passenger transportation in Belgrade.
