Annex no. 4 Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Belgrade, PUC "Belgrade Metro and Train" and the French company RATP DEV, which continued cooperation on the implementation of the Belgrade Metro project.
The Annex provides a framework for continued partnership in the future management of the metro system, including further elaboration of key elements of cooperation and preparation of the operational phase of the project.
Director of PUC "Belgrade Metro and Train", Andreja Mladenović, stated that the signing of the annex represents an important step in the further development of the project and the continuation of continuous cooperation with partners, stressing that it enables additional improvement of key elements of future cooperation and more thorough preparation of the operational phase.
"Given the complexity of the project and the involvement of a large number of participants, it is important to provide enough time for quality planning so that the future metro system will be efficient, reliable and sustainable. A special focus will be on the introduction of the most modern technological solutions, including automated train management systems, which will enable a higher level of safety, greater precision in functioning and better service for passengers. Our goal is for Belgrade to get one of the most modern and high-quality metro systems in Europe and the world," Mladenović added.
The Secretary for Public Transport, Slaven Andrić, assessed that the signing of the annex represents the continuation of systematic work on the establishment of a functional metro system, stating that additional time will enable a more precise definition of all aspects of the future contract in order to ensure quality service for citizens.

"This improved framework of cooperation enables the continuation of constructive technical dialogue on automated high-capacity metro systems. We are proud to stand with our partners as Belgrade progresses in the implementation of this important infrastructure project."
In the current course of cooperation, a number of activities have been implemented, including contracts for early operator assistance services, as well as the preparation of a future contract for the management and maintenance of the Belgrade metro.
The ultimate goal is the establishment of a modern and reliable public transport system that will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens and the more efficient functioning of traffic in Belgrade.
