As part of the continuous cooperation with the French company RATP DEV, a two-day workshop dedicated to maintenance engineering, spare parts management and warranty period for the future metro system was held. This event brought together experts from PUC "Belgrade Metro and Train" and representatives of RATP DEV, and best practices in system life cycle management were presented through interactive sessions.
Lecturer Damien Lenjle, an expert in signaling and communications from RATP DEV, presented the concept of integrated logistics support (ILS), its basics, international norms and standards. Special emphasis is placed on logistics support analysis (LSA), the relationship with system reliability and sustainability, as well as the creation and implementation of maintenance, training and asset management plans.
During the second day of the workshop, the participants got acquainted with the management of the warranty period (Warranty) and the period of notification of defects (DNP). The discussion covered the differences between these two terms, the process of processing technical issues through the FRACAS system, the criteria for closing the DNP phase, as well as the management of suspensions, obsolescence and cyber security within the metro project.
In addition to theoretical sessions, participants analyzed the practical challenges of implementing ILS systems in design and build (D&B) projects, as well as the importance of timely preparation of logistics structure and spare parts. The exchange of experiences with RATP DEV experts contributed to a clearer understanding of the key steps for the establishment of a sustainable and efficient subway maintenance system in Belgrade.
This workshop represents another step towards building a quality professional staff that will be able to manage a modern and reliable metro system in Belgrade. The continuation of the partnership with RATP DEV will ensure the application of the highest standards in maintenance and exploitation, which will contribute to the successful realization of the Belgrade metro project.
