As part of the continuation of intensive activities on the construction project of the Belgrade metro, PUK "Belgrade Metro and Train" Belgrade hosted a delegation from China Railway Design Corporation Serbia (CRDC). The visit was organized with the aim of deepening technical cooperation and strategic dialogue, as well as coordinating further activities on the development of project-technical documentation for the future line 3 of the Belgrade metro.
The meeting was attended by director Andreja Mladenović and company management in front of PUK "Belgrade metro and train" Belgrade.
At the beginning of the year, a contract was signed for the preparation of the feasibility study, conceptual project and environmental impact assessment study for line 3 of the Belgrade metro. The holder of the consortium is the company CRDC, with partners Louis Berger d.o.o. and Co Design d.o.o. Belgrade, as well as with the support of several domestic subcontractors. With more than 70 years of experience and a rich portfolio in the field of railway and traffic engineering, CRDC is considered one of the leading design companies in China and the world, which guarantees a high level of expertise and the quality of documentation for the new line of the metro system in Belgrade.
The Director of JKP "Belgrade Metro and Train" Belgrade, Andreja Mladenović, welcomed the members of the Chinese delegation, pointing out that the traditional "steely friendship" of the two countries and peoples, supported by strong ties between the presidents of Serbia and China, is the foundation of successful cooperation between Chinese and Serbian companies. He emphasized that Belgrade, as the capital of Serbia and a sister city of Beijing, is moving towards the realization of a long-standing dream of a metro, and that such visits further strengthen partnership relations and joint commitment to the realization of a project of national importance.
Mr. Mladenović presented to the CRDC company the current activities on the Belgrade metro construction project, which is being implemented in cooperation with leading global partners, and expressed his satisfaction that this renowned company has become part of the team. He pointed out that with the preparation of project documentation and the construction of the third line, Belgrade will get a fully integrated public transport system that includes three metro lines, seven BG train lines and a city transport network, which will significantly improve mobility, quality of life and economic development of the city.
On behalf of the CRDC company, Deputy General Director Mr. Đin Šiđije thanked for the hospitality and trust that PUC "Beogradski metro i voz" Belgrade provides to their company. He expressed his special gratitude that they were entrusted with the important task of creating a study and conceptual project for line 3 of the Belgrade metro, stressing that this work is of great importance for the development of the city's infrastructure.
Mr. Đin pointed out that CRDC is paying special attention to the Belgrade metro project and that an expert team of engineers with many years of experience in metro system design has been formed. He emphasized that the company will continue to provide full support for the preparation of technical documentation for line 3 of the planned metro in Belgrade and cooperation with the team of the Belgrade Public Works Public Company "Belgrade Metro and Train" in order to jointly contribute to the successful realization of this important infrastructure project.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Đin wished for the successful implementation of the construction of all lines of the Belgrade metro and expressed the hope that the project will be implemented to mutual satisfaction, with the message that CRDC remains a reliable partner in this major infrastructure undertaking.
